Objectives

This one-day workshop is for qualified hair removal technicians wishing to refresh and expand their knowledge within the waxing industry.

Using Perron Rigot depilatory products, delegates will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the use of modern non-strip waxes, and will leave feeling confident and inspired about introducing this fantastic new service to clients.

This course is approved by The Guild of Beauty Therapists for 9 CPD points.

The course will run from 10.00 - 16.00 and will include refreshments and a light lunch. Attendees should wear salon uniform/professional workwear.

Q:I’ve never used Perron Rigot waxes before, am I still welcome to attend?

A:Yes, absolutely! Training is delivered using the Perron Rigot waxing system, but is open to all therapists regardless of the brand you currently use. 

Q:What is non-strip wax? What’s so great about this new generation of waxes?

A:You may have heard it referred to as hard wax, peelable wax, film wax or hot wax. Traditional hot wax is applied in a thick layer or built up over several layers, usually in a fiddly figure-of-eight pattern to ensure a thorough coating of all hairs. It is left to cool and harden on the skin and is then removed by hand, taking the hair with it. The latest generation of non-strip waxes were invented by Perron Rigot to provide perfect depilation of all hair types, even on sensitive areas. They share the unique ‘shrink wrapping’ abilities of older hot waxes but are lower in temperature, easier to apply and stay flexible as they cool, making them much more comfortable for the client and an ideal choice for removing short, coarse and stubborn hairs anywhere on the body.

Q:I’ve never used non-strip wax before, is that a problem?

A:Not at all, the workshop is open to all qualified hair removal technicians, regardless of your level of experience or preferred technique (strip wax, hot wax or sugaring). A full introduction to Perron Rigot waxes and accessories will be provided, and there will be plenty of time to play with the products and practice your skills during the remainder of the workshop.

Q:Do I need to bring anything with me on the day?

A:Please bring a pair of tweezers and nail scissors with you, plus a pad and pen for making notes. As this is a practical session, please ensure you are dressed appropriately in professional workwear and grow your underarm and leg hair for at least 1 week beforehand. All other waxing equipment and supplies are provided free of charge.

Q:Does this workshop cover Brazilian waxing?

A:No, although there will be an opportunity to discuss these techniques with fellow attendees. Perron Rigot offers certificated Brazilian waxing workshops for both male and female clients throughout the year; please contact us for more information.
